This contract renewal built upon the powerful relationship enjoyed with Powercor over almost 18 years of providing similar services in their network area. The contract has progressively expanded and today involves inspection of approximately 180,00 poles per annul under a combination of 5 years and 2.5 year cycles. As part of the project electric was engaged as design and construct contractor to install a new 22kV feeder connection between the North Melbourne and Newmarket substations and to complete works needed to facilitate a secondary 22kV connection at Footscray Substation. The initial package of labor awarded below this panel is for mains replacement labor in the suburbs of Para Hills, Salisbury and Semaphore Park in Adelaide to be completed during 2013. The labor was completed on time and within budget with a commendation received from the client regarding the excellent work achieved throughout the project. electric has played a key portion in the upgrading of the Albany Substation. electric is occupied with Mac Dow to complete much of the extensive electrical infrastructure works associated with this major project. This is a meaningful milestone and one that recognizes the importance of the mighty partnerships that have been developed with customers and the handwork and commitment of electric employees over the years.
